Program Coordinator

Now Hiring: Two Program Coordinators!

Are you passionate about the impact Marathon High has on our student runners? Ready to take your commitment to the next level? We’re seeking two Program Coordinators to help lead and elevate our mission across participating schools.

As a Program Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of operations—ensuring school-based teams run smoothly, students stay engaged, coaches feel supported, and every run is a success. You’ll serve as the key liaison between the Executive Director and coaches, coordinating logistics and volunteers for all school runs within your assigned territory.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee and attend weekly student runs to ensure smooth execution.
Assist with volunteer coordination and ensure adequate support for all school runs in your territory.
Support and guide school coaches with regular check-ins and feedback.
Organize and manage the distribution of shoes, shirts, and gear to students.
Plan safe and engaging run routes and oversee setup (tents, water, first aid, etc.).
Work collaboratively to improve student retention and overall program quality.
Assist with social media posting to help spread the awesomeness that is Marathon High!
Help with seasonal and occasional Marathon High community fundraising or outreach events.

What We’re Looking For:

Current Marathon High coach or running buddy preferred.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Experience with event coordination, youth programs, or community engagement.
Positive energy, a passion for youth development, and a commitment to teamwork.

This is a paid, seasonal, part-time contract role. Coordinators are responsible for their own tax reporting as 1099 contractors.

Marathon High is a nonprofit organization that trains high school students, regardless of background or ability, to run a half-marathon. Through running, we teach teens the value of commitment, character, and community. With teams throughout Northeast Florida, our program builds not just runners—but leaders.
